Sehwag leads Daredevils to victory
Sehwag’s quick 47 runs off 19 balls helped the Daredevils to defeat Bangalore Royal Challengers by 5 wickets. By winning this match, the Delhi Daredevils have kept their hopes of reaching the semi-finals. Bangalore Royal Challengers were already out of the semi-finals.

Delhi Daredevils won the toss and elected to field first. Bangalore Team’s Jacques Kallis scored 25 runs off 21 balls. Goswami scored 52 runs off 42 balls (7 boundaries and 1 sixer). The team’s skipper Rahul Dravid was dismissed for a meager 9 runs. Misbal-ul-Haq stood unbeaten for 47 runs off just 25 balls (2 boundaries and 4 sixers). At the end of 20 overs, the Bangalore Royal Challengers scored 154 runs for the fall of 7 wickets.
Chasing the modest target of 155 runs, the Delhi Daredevils had a superb start thru their openers Gambhir and Sehwag. Gambhir scored 39 runs off 31 balls whereas Sehwag was firing the bowling attack of the Bangalore team. He scored 47 runs off just 19 balls (9 boundaries and 1 sixer) which was very helpful for his team’s victory. Although the middle order batting was little bit shaky, the Delhi team met the target in 18.2 overs. They won the match by 5 wickets and Goswami from the Bangalore team (losing team) was announced the Man of the Match who is the youngest player to score half-century in IPL.
