Sachin missed the Olympics Torch Relay

The Bombay Bomber missed out an opportunity to carry the prestigious Olympic Torch on April 17th, 2008. Sachin took this tough decision after the consultation with his physio. During the First Test Match between India vs. South Africa, Sachin picked up a groin injury which restrained him from playing the Second and Third Test Match. Sachin was eager to carry the Olympics Torch but his groin injury restrained him from the Olympic run. It is said that the batting Maestro didn’t want to aggravate his groin injury and didn’t want to jeopardize the opportunity to play in the IPL (Indian Premier League) Cricket.
