Rajasthan Royals beat Kolkatta Knight Riders

Rajasthan Royals who were considered the underdogs in the IPL Cricket have defeated Kolkatta Knight Riders which is one of the powerful teams in the IPL Cricket.

Rajasthan Royals headed by Shane Warne won the toss and elected to bat first. The opening batsmen Graeme Smith scored a meager 2 runs and Asnodkar scored an excellent knock of 60 runs (10 boundaries and 1 sixer). Yusuf Pathan scored 55 runs off 33 balls (6 boundaries and 2 sixers). Ravindra Jadeja contributed 33 runs to his part. Kolkatta Knight Riders’ Umar Gul claimed 3 wickets and stood top in the bowling order. At the end of 20 overs, the Rajasthan Royals made a huge score of 196 runs.

Chasing the target of 197 runs, the Kolkatta Knight Riders started their Innings. Saurav Ganguly, the team’s skipper scored 51 which was the highest in their team’s scoreboard. David Hussey scored a decent 42 runs off 30 balls (1 boundary and 2 sixers). Agarkar scored 20 runs and all other batsmen were dismissed for meager runs. The Kolkatta Knight Riders were all out in 19.1 overs, scoring 151 runs. Rajasthan Royals won the match by 45 runs and Asnodkar was declared the Man of the Match
