Rajasthan Royals defeated the Kolkatta Knight Riders by 6 wickets and razed the hopes of Shahrukh Khan (Franchise Owner – Kolkatta Team) on their team’s entry to semi-finals. Rajasthan Royals have confirmed their entry into semi-finals.

Rajasthan Royals headed by Shane Warne won the toss and elected to field first. Kolkatta Knight Riders started their Innings thru their openers – Salman Butt and Mohd. Hafeez. Salman Butt scored 24 runs off 20 balls. The team’s skipper Saurav Ganguly scored 32 runs off 34 balls (2 boundaries and 1 sixer). Das made 31 runs off 20 balls (1 boundary and 2 sixers). At the end of 20 overs, the Rajasthan Royals scored 147 runs for the fall of 8 wickets.

Chasing the modest target of 148 runs, the Rajasthan Royals started their Innings thru their openers G. Smith and S.A. Asnodkar who scored 24 and 5 runs respectively. Mohd. Kaif stood unbeaten for 34 runs off 31 balls. Yusuf Pathan made a fast 48 runs off 18 balls (5 boundaries and 3 sixers) and made sure his team wins the match. He was also declared the Man of the Match. Rajasthan Royals won the match by 6 wickets.
