Mumbai Indians lose again
Two of the powerful teams with the very powerful batting order have been showing dismal performance in the IPL Series. Both the teams are none other than Mumbai Indians and Deccan Chargers. Both the teams have lost in all the matches that they played. When the losers face another loser there had to be a result.

Deccan Chargers who decided to field first bundled up the Mumbai Indians for a modest total of 154 runs for the fall of 7 wickets. All their top performers failed to perform upto their caliber. Shaun Pollock, Abhishek Nayar and Dwayne Bravo stabilized the Mumbai Indians scorecard and helped their team to reach a respectable total.
In pursuit of 155 runs, Deccan Chargers displayed one of the classic Innings from Adam Gilchrist who was in the form of his life. He thrashed a sizzling 109 runs off 48 balls (9 boundaries and 10 sixers) and stayed unbeaten in the crease.
He was accompanied by Deccan Chargers’ captain V.V.S. Lakshman who supported Gilly’s heroic knock by scoring 36 off 29 balls. Deccan Chargers reached home with ease and comfort. Deccan Chargers created a history by winning this match by 10 wickets. Deccan Chargers registered their first win in the IPL Cricket in a big way. Adam Gilchrist was obviously declared “Man of the Match”.
Mumbai Indians missed the presence of Sachin Tendulkar (due to groin injury) and the stand-in skipper Harbhajan Singh who was banned by IPL and BCCI for his feud with Sreesanth.
