McGrath and Gambhir lead Delhi Daredevils to victory
A spectacular Innings by Gautham Gambhir and excellent bowling by Glenn McGrath propelled Delhi Daredevils to post their third victory in the IPL Cricket by defeating the Bangalore Royal Challengers. For Bangalore Royal Challengers this was the fourth defeat in five matches played so far.

Bangalore Royal Challengers headed by Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to field first. The Delhi Daredevils started their Innings with high spirits thru their openers Gautham Gambhir and Virendra Sehwag. Sehwag was dismissed for 24 runs. Gautham Gambhir played an excellent knock of 86 runs off 54 balls (11 boundaries and 1 sixer). Dhawan also played a brilliant innings by scoring 50 runs off 33 balls (4 boundaries and 3 sixers). Shoaib Malik was dismissed for a meager total. At the end of 20 overs, Delhi Daredevils made a challenging score of 191 runs for the fall of 5 wickets.
Chasing the huge target of 192 runs, the Bangalore Royal Challengers started with a poor opening. The openers Praveen Kumar and Wassim Jaffer were dismissed for 6 and 10 runs respectively. Taylor scored 29 runs. Jacques Kallis scored a much needed 54 runs off 44 balls (6 boundaries and 1 sixer). Dravid the team’s skipper scored a decent 38 runs which was not quite useful in reaching the huge target. Boucher to his part scored 31 runs. McGrath took 4 crucial wickets and made sure his team wins the match. At the end of 20 overs, the Bangalore Royal Challengers scored 181 runs for the fall of 5 wickets. The Delhi Daredevils won the match by 10 runs and McGrath was declared the Man of the Match.
