Although Australia did look very good in the 3rd test win and to give the score a bit better look of only losing 2-1 with both new boys (pace bowlers) looking good with the ball (Siddle especially) South Africa’s brilliant test series win down under was nothing more than they deserved with brilliant displays from skipper Graeme Smith and De Villiers with the bat with them both scoring crucial hundreds in decisive periods of the series down under and quickies Steyn and Morkel are now showing just what sort of damage they can do with the ball with both accumulating impressive figures during the test matches.

People will obviously point the finger at the retirements of Bowling legends Shane Warne and Glenn Mcgrath being the reason behind the Aussies decline in the game and rightly so but if these new boys come good and if the Aussies manage to find another decent spinner then I do not think it will be an awful long time until they are up and running again.

Next Summers Ashes tour in England now looks like being special though with two teams trying to once again find their form and I think it will be a classic series and I cannot wait.
