Knighthood (Sir) for Sachin Tendulkar?
The British Prime Minister “Mr. Gordon Brown” in his maiden visit to India discussed the possibilities of conferring knighthood to the little Master “Sachin Tendulkar”. Mr. Brown raised this topic in a press conference and said that he would recommend Sachin Tendulkar’s name for the prestigious Knighthood.
Sachin has spent most of his time for the game and has always thought for the positive result of the Indian Cricket Team. Looking back at the illustrious career of Sachin Tendulkar, he has backed the Indian Cricket Team in most of the crucial Matches. When Sachin’s father passed away, India was playing the World Cup Cricket Match. As we all know that the World Cup is a big honor and a pride for the winning Nation. When Tendulkar heard about the tragic news, he rushed back to his hometown Bombay (India) and spent some time with his family. Within a day, he joined back in the Indian Cricket Team for the net practice and was ready for the next Match. Such is his caliber to put behind personal tragedy and playing for his country.
Sachin is proud of being an Indian and representing the country India is a great honor for him. Conferring a prestigious Knighthood to Sachin for his outstanding performance and dedication towards Cricket is highly appraisable.
