Kings XI Punjab clinch the match by 4 wickets

Delhi Daredevils headed by Virendra Sehwag won the toss and decided to bat first, in the Mohali Match. Delhi’s batting order failed to give a decent start. The captain Virendra Sehwag himself got out for cheap figures. Gautham Gambhir made a shaky innings and got out eventually. The failure of the opening batsmen costed Delhi Daredevils to the best extent as the batsmen who followed didn’t add value to the score card. Tiwari scored 39 runs off 34 balls. Karthik scored 24 runs off 14 balls. These were the only decent scores the Delhi team had to show. At the end of 20 overs, the Delhi Daredevils scored a modest score of 158 runs for the fall of 8 wickets.

Yuvraj

Chasing a modest total of 159 runs, the Kings XI Punjab had no hiccup. They had everything in the right place. They had the support of the home team and one of the openers - Katich blasted a good knock of 75 runs off 52 balls (11 boundaries and 1 sixer) which was followed by the captain of Kings XI Punjab – Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj Singh scored an unbeaten 40 runs off 29 balls (3 boundaries and 2 sixers) and ensured his team wins the match in a grand way.

Kings XI Punjab was victorious by 4 wickets. Katich was declared the “Man of the Match”.
