Is History gonna repeat itself?
After a majestic win in the Second Test Match, South African Team is high in morale. To add up to their morale would be the news of the Indian Squad selection for the upcoming Test Match. The Indian Selectors have gone for a 16 member Squad which would be the best surprise package even to a Novice. In a pitch like Kanpur one is surprised to see 4 spinners (Harbhajan Singh, Anil Kumble, Ramesh Pawar, Piyush Chawla) being selected.
The comeback of Ishant Sharma would be a site of relief for the Indian pace attack. Sharma who was missed in the earlier matches due to injury has made a comeback in the Team but is yet to prove his fitness. At this scenario the captain Anil Kumble’s fitness is also subject to question mark. Both Ishanth and Kumble will undergo a fitness Test on April 10th and the selection of these players is subjected to their fitness.
In case if Anil Kumble is missed, his slot can be replaced by Harbhajan Singh and Ramesh Pawar. As the Indian Team has got many part time spinners India need not worry about the Spin attack but if Ishanth Sharma is missed it will be a vital blow to the pace attack of the Indians.
It is surprising to see Gautham Gambhir being ignored from the Test Team. Selection of Players like Piyush Chawla and Wassim Jaffer is really a big surprise as these players are not in a great form in the recent times. As the experienced campaigners are not able to play upto their caliber, the absence of Sachin and injury woes is gonna be a nightmare for Team India. The Indian Team has to overcome all these odds and must win the Kanpur Test Match.
