India loses Second Test Match

Team India started the Second Test in a disastrous way, bowled awfully and enriched the South African run flow. South Africans capitalized on the poor pace attack and piled a mammoth total of 494 runs, with a lead of 418 runs against the Indian team. In reply to this mammoth total India continued the horrifying form.

The openers Wassim Jaffer and Virendra Sehwag failed to make a mark even in the Second Innings. The wall of the Indian Team - Dravid also fell to pressure for cheap figures. The responsibility of saving the Test Match fell on Dada’s (Saurav Ganguly) shoulder. Ganguly strived to the best of his ability to save the Test Match. Ganguly made a crispy 87 runs. Dhoni realized his responsibilities and supported Ganguly in saving the match by scoring 52 runs.

To the agony of both the batsmen, after their respective wickets the rest of the Indian Batsmen gave away their wickets like freebies. VVS Laxman, Wassim Jaffer have not been performing successfully in this Series. If these guys would have played up to their caliber probably India could have saved the Match. The Indian tail – Irfan Pathan saved the pride of his Team by his blissful knock of 43 runs and remained unbeaten. India suffered a humiliating loss by 90 runs. Ab de Villiers was declared the Man of the Match for his brilliant knock of 217 runs.
