Harbhajan Singh, the angry young man of the Indian cricket team has found himself in a new controversy with serious allegations against him. He is reportedly rapped Sreesanth in response to Sreesanth’s provocative remark in the Match between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians’s stand-in skipper Bhaji who is under great scrutiny after loosing all the matches in the row in IPL Cricket, was irked by Sreesanth’s comment. Sreesanth was found weeping in the post match ceremony which triggered lot of speculation. Harbhajan Singh is said to rap Sreesanth. In the initial stage both the players downplayed the incident but Sreesanth took a different stand as time went ahead.

The IPL and BCCI is probing into the issue. Bhaji is being accused of violation of level 4 code of conduct as per ICC’s standards. A probing committee is gonna decide the verdict on Harbhajan’s issue. The committee is being headed by Mr. Farook Engineer who would hear the case today (April 28th, 2008). Harbhajan Singh might face a lengthy ban if the charges claimed turn out to be true.

Its not the first time that Bhaji is got in such controversy, he was earlier accused of racist slur against Andrew Symonds (Australia). Cricket is a gentlemen’s game violence in the field is not acceptable at any stage. As far as Sreesanth is concerned he must stand up to his name which reads as “Santha (peace) kumara Sreesanth”.
