Cricket
One big thing that has happened this week regarding Cricket especially in the UK is the introduction of a new 20-20 league in 2010 that is going to take over the game as we know it today in this country.

With so much money at stake at the minute with Billionaire’s all over the world all seaming to want a piece of this new form of the game and when you look at the salaries being picked up by players at the recent IPL league I feel the game is starting to lose all its tradition and honour.
The main worry I have is the players that like to take their time to get big score’s in the longer version of the game will have to go back to the drawing board because with this new form of Cricket looking like taking over the old form they may be looking for new jobs because team’s will be looking for batsmen that don’t hang about and start whacking boundaries straight away.
So will the Ashes of 2009 be the last I ask myself?? Because when it comes back around again in Australia in late 2010 will anybody still be interested in playing the 5 day game? (Which I believe is the best form of the game and always will be) will the fans turn up to watch 5 day Cricket anymore? When they can go and watch a 20-20 game and see a game from start to finish in a couple of hours with a party atmosphere that really seems to be catching on.
I fear for Cricket.
