Cricket gentlemen’s game

Of lately, whenever India and Australia plays Cricket, there has been controversies in the Matches. When Australia toured India, we saw the feud between the Indian young shots and the Australian veterans. Both were playing mind games accordingly. A lot was spoken about that. The Australians started the mind games within the field and as well as off the field. And the Indian cameos gave it back to the Australians. They showed aggression in the field as well as the off the field.

The Oz got the taste of their bitter medicine. Australian players complaint to the Match referee about sledging when things didn’t happen. They complaint about the racial remark from the spectators but things didn’t move in the way of Australia.

Andrew Symonds was not appreciated by the Indian spectators because of his bad attitude towards the game and the people who played it.

Indian spectators are bound to be encouraging and Sports loving people, who adore the game of Cricket. Such a crowd has not appreciated Andrew Symonds game. This would show how his attitude would have been.

When India got down under to Australia the attitude of Andrew Symonds and certain other players didn’t change. Aussies picked up a fight with the Indian players mainly Harbhajan Singh (off-spinner). The terminator, to the vain of the Australians piled up his half-century during the first innings in the Second Test Match. This would have disturbed the Australians’ spirit. During the course of this half-century, the off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and Andrew Symonds had a heated exchange of words. At the end of show, Ponting and his team complaint to the Match Referee, about racial abuse from Harbhajan Singh.

It comes as astonishment to Cricket lovers when it comes to sledging. Cricket is a gentlemen’s game and it should be played with the true spirit of Sports and ethics. Sledging might be a part and puzzle of the game. It should be kept within the Cricket field.
