Bet On Cricket
With the up coming one day international series between England and South Africa and the English domestic season reaching its climax there is some decent wagers to be had on Cricket at the moment.

First to look at is the Friends Provident Trophy final. Essex and Kent square off at Lords this Saturday with the latter heavy favourites to win the game. Kent over the last few years have become one-day specialists. Last season the Spitfires showed some outstanding cricket to win the Twenty20 cup. Captain Rob Key was probably their man of the tournament and he’s continued that form this season with many pundits asking for his recall into the England one-day team. Kent were losing finalists in this season’s Twenty20 final, beating Essex in the semis, and have already beaten their opponents in this year’s Friends Provident Trophy by 106 runs.
Interestingly both these sides are in division two of the Pro40 league, England’s one day league, with Kent trailing Essex by five points but having played three games less. The Spitfires currently have a 100% record in that competition.
So all signs point to a Kent win but we’ve seen all two often in the past that a bet on the favourites in this competition comes with a heath warning.
As far as England’s ODI series win the Proteas is concerned South Africa go into it as favourites. Despite an England win in the final test you still couldn’t really back them to get the better of Graeme Smith’s side.
