The Fourth and the final test between India and Australia ended up in a much expected draw. In the first Innings India scored 526 runs. In reply to that Australia made 563. In the 2nd Innings India made 269 and played throughout the day which saved the test Match.

In the 2nd innings Virender Sehwag played a blistering knock and ensured that Team India to be in a safe position. In the 4th Test Match Virender Sehwag scored 151 runs. This is a come back Century for Virender Sehwag.

This perhaps is the last time that Australians are seeing Sachin, Gangly, Dravid, VVS Lakshman in Australia. All these players have played an outstanding role in this series.
The Australians retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy by 2-1
