IPL consists of 8 Indian city based Teams which would include Indian players as well as International Cricket players. This will be a perfect platform to exhibit individual talent irrespective of nations and for the new players to earn a slot in the International Team.

Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians headed by Bombay Bomber (Sachin Tendulkar) has roped in another veteran from the neighboring country and the former captain of Sri Lankan Cricket Team S. Jayasurya, and the South African former captain Shaun Pollock. These 3 players who were the former captains for their respective Teams are now representing Mumbai Indians for the IPL Cricket. Jayasurya and Sachin will enrich the Batting department and on the other hand the veteran of seam bowling Shaun Pollock can rip thru any batting order. The Speedster from Sri Lanka – Mallinga, Fernando and the Indian Team’s very own off-spinner Harbhajan Singh will make life tough for the opponents. And with the local talent helping the Mumbai Team, the other Teams must think twice before they face the Mumbai Indians.
Bangalore Royal Challengers
Bangalore Royal Challengers is being captained by the wall of the Indian Team Rahul Dravid. Besides Rahul Dravid, the classy all rounder from South Africa Jacques Kallis and Mark Boucher are an additional plus for Bangalore Royal Challengers. The Seam attack is been taken over by India’s very own Zaheer Khan, Praveen Kumar, Australia’s Nathan Bracken and the spin attack will be backed by Jumbo Anil Kumble and the orthodox spinner Abdur Razzak (Bangladesh). Bangalore Royal Challengers will be a decent challenge for their opponents.
Deccan Chargers (Hyderabad)

Sri Lanka’s Mahel Jayawardene, Kumara Sangakara (wicket keeper-batsman) and the West Indian cool batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan would be an additional plus in any form of the game. The bowling department is spear-headed with Bret Lee (Australia), James Hopes (Australia), the aggressive Indian dude S. Sreesanth and the all-rounder Irfan Pathan. We will have to wait and watch about the regime of these Kings!
Delhi Daredevils
Delhi Daredevils is been headed by India’s unpredictable Virendra Sehwag. India’s opening Batsman Gautham Gambhir, South Africa’s Ab de Villiers and Sri Lanka’s Tilakaratne Dilshan star as Batsmen. The bowling department has got a big name under its belt. The former Australian paceman Glen McGrath, Pakistan’s Mohd. Asif will be a part of Delhi Daredevils. Will the Daredevils dare the big Champions?
Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings Team really consists of king size players who are champions in their respective domain. The champion of Twenty 20 winning squad Mahendra Singh Dhoni, New Zealand’s former captain Stephen Fleming, Australia’s Mathew Hayden and Michael Hussey would be a huge factor in this format of the game. The King of Doosra (a particular type in off-spin bowling) Muthiah Muralitharan from Sri Lanka can steal the game at any juncture. The pace attack will be supported by India’s Lakshmipathi Balaji and Johinder Sharma. Chennai Super Kings would be a Super challenge for the other Teams.
Kolkata Knight Riders
The Kolkata Knight Riders has got a good chemistry of Batsmen as well as the bowlers. The Team would be headed by the Dada – Saurav Ganguly. The Australian captain Ricky Ponting is also a part of Kolkata Knight Riders. The bowling Department can be backed by Rawalpindi Express Sohaib Akhtar (Pakistan) and Ishanth Sharma (India). These guys can penetrate into any batting order. Kolkata Knight Riders will surely ride like Knights.
Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals is the only IPL team that is been headed by a non-Indian player Shane Warne (Australia), the spin wizard. The Team selection is quite a unique one. Players like Graeme Smith (South Africa), Justin Langer (Australia), Mohd. Kaif (India) will be a heavenly gift to the Batting order. The bowling Department is gifted with the greatest spinner of all time Shane Warne and the Indian seamer Munaf Patel. The Rajasthan Royals will have to compete for betterment.
